MRI
Remove all metal. Tell staff about implants, a pacemaker or pregnancy.

CT
You may receive contrast and be asked not to eat for a few hours.
5–15min - 03
X-ray
Remove jewellery and metal from the area. Hold still and breathe as instructed.
5–10min - 04
Mammography
No deodorant or powder on the day. Compression is brief.
15–30min - 05
Abdominal ultrasound
Usually on an empty stomach. Gel on the skin, no radiation.

Gastroscopy
Nothing to eat beforehand — follow the clinic's fasting time. Sedation is often available.

Colonoscopy
Bowel preparation the day before decides the quality of the exam.
